Kiwifruit, kiwi or Chinese gooseberry are all names that refer to the edible berries of various species of woody vines that belong to the genus Actinidia. The so-called golden kiwifruit or Actinidia chinensis has a soft and bronze coloured skin. The colour of its flesh varies from a bright green to an intense yellow colour. This particular kind tastes sweeter and has a more aromatic flavour, reminiscent of subtropical fruit varieties.
